Are you wondering what Tai Chi is all about? Have you seen news items about the benefits? These may include increased flexibility and muscle strength, improved balance, better posture, reduced falls and reduced stress. Are you familiar with some forms of Tai Chi and want to expand your practice? Would you like to explore the this practice, which stresses relaxation, breathing and smooth, slow, continuous movement?
Join us for an 8-week session exploring the fundamentals of this gentle ancient art. This class will follow the Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention program, developed by Dr. Paul Lam and endorsed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This class runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:15a- 12:15p.
If you are new to Tai Chi, join us to explore this gentle form of movement. If you have completed some form of Tai Chi, you may continue your practice with friends in a class setting, while you learn new forms to develop a strong root connection to the ground, the ability to maintain equilibrium around your center while shifting weight and balancing on a single leg.
