Transportation is a key support system in our camps. Section personnel are responsible for providing a safe, efficient, and friendly support service, and for maintaining positive relationships with staff in both camps.

Qualifications
- Shall be of good character and at least 18 years old.
- Shall hold all licenses needed for operation of camp owned vehicles.
- Shall have had previous experience driving boat and land vehicles and a clean driving record.
- Shall demonstrate a positive attitude toward people and a desire to work collaboratively with others.
- Shall understand the importance of safe operations and good vehicle maintenance.
- Shall have knowledge of how vehicles work.
- Shall be capable of physically moving all delivered packages and camp supplies.
- Shall have good night vision.
Specific Duties
- Transportation personnel shall insure that camp vehicles are cleaned daily, properly equipped and in safe operating condition. Vehicle logs should be up-to-date and any significant vehicle problems should be reported to the Transportation Coordinator.
- Transportation personnel shall be responsible for most of the local shopping trips, for medical trips, and for driving camp program trips and ski boats as needed.
- Transportation personnel shall be responsible for safe delivery of camp supplies and camp mail to the proper designated location in each camp, for safe and timely delivery of camper and staff luggage, camper laundry, and all camp visitors, and for handling garbage disposal.
- Transportation personnel must adhere to all pertinent state and local regulations and are responsible for fines incurred due to violation of this responsibility.
- Transportation personnel shall be responsible for maintaining the announced boat schedule.
- Transportation personnel shall be responsible for enforcing proper behavior on camp boats, for using proper language in the presence of campers, and for dressing in a professional and camp-appropriate manner. Infractions by campers or staff must be reported to the appropriate Camp Director.
- Transportation personnel shall assist with camp maintenance or other staff chores as needed and available.
- Transportation personnel shall keep the Transportation Coordinator informed as to their whereabouts.
- Transportation personnel must abide by the rules of the camp in which they are located at any given time, must maintain allegiance to both island camps, and must verbally support both camp administrations.
- Transportation personnel must participate in camp staff meetings as requested by the Camp Directors.
