Thank You For Going The Extra Mile: Mirela Fountaine

We have a gem in aquatics. A real life Swiss Army knife. Need someone to cover a lifeguard shift, call Mirela. Need someone to take on a private swim lesson, call Mirela. Need someone to help out in synchro, call Mirela. Need someone to build an entire 6 week curriculum for her group in the 4th grade program, call Mirela. Need someone to snake a drain, shovel the walk way, teach a fitness class, help with a bloody nose…..Mirela! Ok, she may need to YouTube “how to snake a drain,” but Mirela would do it! She would take the time, put in the effort and do the research and learn that new skill and absolutely rock it! Why? Because that’s the type person and employee Mirela is. A team player. Dependable. Eager to grow. Always learning and challenging herself. It’s noticeably apparent that she loves the work she does here at the YMCA, no matter what the task or role is. Mirela is a leader in the aquatics crew and we are very fortunate to work with someone like Mirela.
