Over 70% of people in the USA and most industrial nations are overweight or obese. These numbers are higher for people over 45 years of age. This program takes a different approach to weight loss. Most programs take a fast approach to weight loss because this is a difficult subject to talk about and so the diet industry capitalizes on this by promising fast weight loss so you can be done quickly and feel good. If you have tried that method and not gotten lasting results or felt good about the process, this class takes an entirely different approach.
This program is free for YMCA members and has a fee of $40 per 8 week session for for non-members. The workshop meets Tuesday mornings at 10. Please check for new session start times.
