Volunteers and Teens Wrap Up the Year Santa Fund Style

The Merrimack Valley YMCA once again partnered with the Eagle-Tribune Santa Fund to help make the holidays brighter for families across our community. Through this annual gift drive, 291 individuals received presents and grocery store gift cards — supporting everyone from an 90-year-old man to a baby expected any day.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, more than 2,100 gifts and clothing items were purchased, wrapped, and delivered. Favorite gifts included Bluey and Sonic toys, Legos, and Barbie dolls and accessories — items chosen to bring joy and reflect the individual interests of each recipient.

The Santa Fund team also went the extra mile to honor children’s individual wishes. This year, those requests included volleyball gear for a 13-year-old just starting the sport, planetarium projectors that turn bedroom ceilings into starry skies, and crocodile-shaped slippers that brought joy to a young child.

In addition to receiving gifts, recipients also received at least three items of clothing as well as sneakers, shoes or boots. These items help families meet everyday needs while keeping spirits bright.

The effort was powered by 63 dedicated volunteers, including teens from the YMCA’s Adelante program, who helped shop, wrap, and deliver gifts throughout the season. This partnership reminds us that every family can experience the joy of the holidays when we come together as a community.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful gifts. They brought so much joy and made this Christmas especially meaningful for me. Please know how grateful I am to you and to the YMCA for your kindness. Your generosity brought not only happiness, but also comfort and hope during the holiday season.” – YMCA Santa Fund Family
