Gauntlet for Good Raises More Than $9,000 for LIVESTRONG at the YMCA

Last month, more than 40 athletes of all ages took on the Gauntlet for Good, a fitness and endurance challenge at the Andover/North Andover YMCA, to raise funds in support of our LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program.

Participants pushed themselves through six challenging fitness stations—including rowing, medicine balls, spin, and more—each led by YMCA health and wellness staff. After completing every station, competitors ran a lap around the building before advancing to the next challenge, testing both their strength and endurance.

Thanks to the incredible generosity and determination of our participants and supporters, we raised $9,255 to benefit LIVESTRONG at the YMCA. This free, 12-week small-group program helps adult cancer survivors regain their strength, flexibility, and confidence while building meaningful connections in a supportive community.

A special congratulations to our top five finishers:

1. Dunny Murphy — 29:00
2. Ariel Gagnon — 31:24
3. Steph Fried — 32:31
4. Wilson Stecher — 32:38
5. Claudia Soo Hoo — 33:41

To everyone who accepted the challenge, volunteered, donated, and cheered on our competitors—thank you for making this event such a success. Your support helps ensure that local cancer survivors can continue to participate in this amazing program at no cost.

We can’t wait to see everyone back for an even bigger Gauntlet for Good next year!
