Help Create Meaningful, Lasting Change
At the Merrimack Valley YMCA, volunteers and donors make everything we do possible. Your time and talents help us strengthen our communities, support our neighbors, and create meaningful, lasting change. When you volunteer with us, you play a vital role in delivering life-changing support to individuals and families across the Merrimack Valley.

Youth Sports Coach
Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or brand new to coaching, we provide the tools and support you need. Help young players learn, grow, and thrive in a caring, encouraging environment — on and off the court.
Volunteer coaches are currently needed for our Youth Basketball League at both the Andover/North Andover and Methuen branches, and our Youth Volleyball League.
Organize a Neighborhood Food Drive
Host a Food Drive in your neighborhood to help us collect the items our pantries need most! Here’s how it works:
- The Y will provide you with marketing materials that you can share out to friends and neighbors, asking for their support with this drive.
- YMCA staff and volunteers will set up our Mobile Food Pantry in your neighborhood and help you collect food from those supporting your drive.
- YMCA staff will take pictures at your event and share our gratitude to the community.
For more information on how you can organize a food drive for your neighbors, please contact Cathy Redard at credard@mvymca.org.
